
Revenue growth driven by extensive expansion
According to the annual financial statements, the group’s revenue reached 14.5 billion lei, compared to 11.6 billion a year earlier. The main contributors to this growth were sales at existing stores and the launch of 75 new retail locations. Today, the company’s network comprises 320 stores nationwide.
However, aggressive business expansion proved costly. Distribution expenses rose by 35%, exceeding 2.6 billion lei. Administrative expenses increased by 31%, and the cost of goods sold approached 10.7 billion lei.
As a result, the company’s net profit fell to 500.5 million lei, compared to 529.5 million a year earlier.
At the same time, Moldretail Group continued to actively invest in infrastructure development. The group’s total assets increased by nearly 1.3 billion lei over the year, reaching 4.8 billion. A significant portion of the investments went toward equipment, land, and the development of retail and warehouse space.
The group includes several grocery chains: Linella, Fidesco, Fourchette, Slavena, Bravo, CIP, Toto, as well as Nuca coffee shops. The company works with approximately 1,000 suppliers and is part of the Dragan Group holding company. In 2025, the company employed 7,044 people, and labor costs exceeded 1 billion lei.

It should be noted that the Moldretail holding earned more than other grocery retail chains.
In terms of turnover, the top five retail leaders in 2025 were distributed as follows:
Moldretail (Linella chain) — 14.5 billion lei;
Imensitate (Local, Bonus, Foxy, Primul chains) — 7.2 billion lei;
Supermarket Nr. 1 (Nr 1 chain) — 3.5 billion lei;
Kaufland Moldova (Kaufland chain) — 3.4 billion lei;
Metro Cash & Carry (Metro chain) — 3.2 billion lei;
According to data from Modern Buyer, last year marked a period of extensive growth for the entire Moldovan retail chain sector: 16 chains invested in expansion. A total of 220 new stores were opened across Moldova in 2025, compared to just 142 the previous year. The two operators that expanded the most were Moldretail and Imensitate. They account for 60% of the new retail outlets in the country.
