The youngest millionaire was a 16-year-old boy, and the oldest was an 88-year-old man.
According to the State Tax Service, in 2025, Moldovan millionaires reported 32.8 billion lei in income and paid 2.3 billion lei in taxes on it.
Men predominate among the wealthy—there are more than 6,600 of them. Most millionaires are between the ages of 40 and 49.
According to the tax service, the majority of millionaires (about 5,000 people) earn between 1 and 2 million lei, but 484 citizens reported income exceeding 10 million lei. Most often, these incomes consist of dividends (13.45 billion lei) or salaries (3.32 billion lei).
