This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food Industry. Applications may be submitted to the regional offices of the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA). The deadline for submitting applications is 30 September 2026.
It should be noted that, at present, the level of support amounts to 70 per cent of the cost of the agricultural insurance premium. It is provided from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas (FNDAMR) as part of the ‘Agricultural Risk Insurance’ support measure.
In particular, this year an additional 20 million lei has been reallocated from the fund’s budget for this type of support. This was achieved by reducing the amount of funding provided by the state to finance other measures under the fund. More specifically, this was done at the expense of funding for phased investments (18.8 million lei) and support for start-ups (1.2 million lei).
