
Since the start of this year, the Customs Service has collected approximately 28.16 billion lei for the state budget, which is 102.9 per cent above the planned revenue.
At the same time, between 24 and 31 August 2026, private individuals imported goods whose value at customs exceeded the tax-free limit; approximately 22.6 million lei was collected from these imports, representing 2.4 per cent of the total amount collected during the corresponding period.
Furthermore, 12,957 customs declarations were processed over the past week, whilst the flow of vehicles totalled 124,117 crossings. The busiest customs posts remain Leușen and Sculeț, with 27,812 and 22,213 crossings respectively.
