Bulgaria Is Becoming Popular Among Digital Nomads

Bulgaria has gained significant international recognition as a destination for remote work. Condé Nast Traveler, an American travel magazine often referred to as the “bible” for tourists, has included it among the most affordable destinations in the European Union for digital nomads.

As noted by bginfo.eu, Bulgaria offers a combination of European status, moderate living costs, a mild climate, the sea, mountains, and a comfortable pace of life. For professionals who work for foreign companies or foreign clients, the country is becoming not just a place to spend the winter, but a real option for long-term relocation.

Equally important is the fact that, on the one hand, the country has more affordable financial requirements compared to many popular programs in Southern and Western Europe. On the other hand, the cost of rent, food, and everyday services is relatively low, especially outside the capital and major resorts.

Bulgaria’s appearance in a major international travel publication is a positive sign for the country. It is gaining visibility among mobile professionals, entrepreneurs, and IT specialists who are looking for a legal and relatively affordable way to live in the EU without changing their foreign employer or clients.

For Bulgaria itself, this means an influx of economically active residents who rent housing, use local services, and develop international connections.
