CNAM paid more than 1 billion lei in advance for medical services in July

The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) has paid 1.22 billion lei in advance to healthcare providers for services to be rendered to the public in July.

Of this amount, more than 972 million lei were paid to public providers, and approximately 50 million lei were paid to private healthcare facilities.

These advance payments are necessary to ensure the continuous provision of medical services to the insured population in accordance with the standards of scope and quality established in the Unified Compulsory Health Insurance Program, according to a CNAM statement.

At the beginning of each month, advance payments amounting to 80% of the amount planned for that month are made, and at the end of each reporting period, the remaining amount is transferred in accordance with the contractual provisions.
