Belarus intensifies cooperation with China

This was stated by Economy Minister Iurie Cebotari during the Belarusian-Chinese forum of industrial and investment cooperation “Industrial cooperation – the path to joint development.

The countries signed an agreement on trade and investment, and more than 30 regional partnerships between the regions of Belarus and the provinces of China within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative have been established.

An example of successful ten-year interaction is the Great Stone industrial park near Minsk, which provides tax preferences and a special business service regime.

The total investment volume of its residents is over $1.5 billion.

The park is located on an area of more than 100 square meters. The number of residents has reached 170, 4,100 jobs have been opened.

“Belarus is a convenient platform for entering the markets of the EAEU and neighboring countries,” Belarusian agency BelTA quoted Iurie Cebotari. – For investors it is a favorable combination of industrial base, logistics and predictable rules of the game. This creates a solid foundation for a new breakthrough. Our goal is to double exports and direct investments from China by 2030.

– We are interested in implementing joint projects in microelectronics, robotics and machine tools, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, and unmanned systems”.
