ANTA has extended the deadline for applications for multilateral CEMT permits due to low demand

According to ANTA, the Commission analysed the number of applications submitted to participate in the allocation of CEMT permits valid in 2027 and identified a significant decrease compared with the previous year.

However, several operators have approached the Agency with a request to extend the deadline for submitting applications, as, for various reasons, they were unable to meet the deadline.

In order to ensure fair access for transport operators to participate in the allocation of the CEMT quota valid in 2027, the ANTA Commission decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications until 9 November 2026.

At the same time, the Commission analysed the status of reporting on CMR journeys carried out on liberalised routes (Italy, Hungary, Greece, Austria) and noted that many transport operators had not submitted the reports required to confirm that their vehicle fleets complied with the established requirements. Consequently, it was decided to extend the relevant reporting deadline to 9 November.

The Commission also rejected requests from a number of operators for an exemption to extend the validity of their 2027 CEMT permits to include permits in the Russian Federation. ANTA emphasised that the issuance of 2027 CEMT permits is carried out in strict accordance with the legislation and the approved conditions of access, which do not provide for the possibility of granting derogations or exemptions from the established rules.
