Most of the sum, 50.58 million lei, was made up of post-investment subsidies on 61 applications submitted by farmers in previous years. Among them, almost 18 million lei are payments to support investments in the livestock sector, 14 million – partial compensation of investments in the infrastructure of production, processing and realization of crop production.

Earlier, Logos Press reported that in mid-March, the Moldovan authorities planned to settle the arrears of post-investment and complimentary (accompanying) subsidies for 2024 by the end of April this year. At that time, AIPA was processing almost 400 farmer applications for post-investment subsidies totaling more than 400 million lei. In March, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) reported that about 86 million lei in arrears of post-investment subsidies were paid.

That is, the promises of the Ministry of Agriculture will be fulfilled if more than 250 million lei of arrears on subsidies of this category are paid by the end of this month. Is it realistic? Who knows…

What is the situation with the current subsidies?

In addition to the repayment of debts, last week AIPA authorized 2.47 million lei as advance payments for 10 projects of modernization of livestock farms.

Thus, the financial resources envisaged in the budgetary National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development (FNDAMR) for 2026 for the first quarter of the year have been selected by 39%.
