The exhibition is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova (CCI RM) in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Mayor’s Office and County Council of Vaslui.

“Republic of Moldova presents” is the international analog of the national exhibition “Made in Moldova”. It has proved its effectiveness as a platform to support local producers and promote Moldova’s image abroad, as well as to strengthen trade and economic relations between Moldova and Romania.

Gateway to the EU market

The participating companies represent the food industry, textiles, agrarian production, handicrafts, etc.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Sergiu Harya, Head of the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized that the event provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs from both banks of the Prut to develop successful businesses.

“Romania is Moldova’s main trade partner and a gateway to the European Union market,” he said. – The trade turnover between our countries has exceeded $ 4 billion, which demonstrates the huge potential of cooperation. We are not stopping and we will continue this beautiful tradition”.

For his part, the Mayor of Vaslui municipality Lucian Branishte highly appreciated the results of the first exhibition and the continuity of the project, emphasizing its impact on the development of economic and cultural ties between the two banks of the Prut. The exhibition is also important for the promotion of cross-border economic cooperation.

The first exhibition in Vaslui was organized last year from 9 to 11 May. In Romania, such an event was held for the first time ten years ago in Iasi. A year later, in 2017 – in Ploiesti, in 2018 – in Brasov, in 2019 – in the city of Maramures.
