This is reported The New York Times, citing unnamed American officials.
“President Trump has tightened the terms of a possible deal to end the war with Iran. The proposals have been sent to the Iranian side for consideration,” the article said.
The newspaper notes that at the moment it is not known what new demands the US leader has put forward. At the same time, the newspaper’s interlocutors note that Trump has previously expressed dissatisfaction with the possibility of unfreezing Iranian assets as part of future agreements.
One of the newspaper’s interlocutors suggested that the purpose of preparing a tougher proposal is to put pressure on Tehran to hurry up and agree to the previous, softer version of the deal.
