“Angel Meloni” has “changed face” again.

Rome is once again discussing a scandalous church mural: the "Angel of Meloni" in the church of San Lorenzo-in-Lucina, already an Internet phenomenon, seems to have changed again - and now, according to eyewitnesses, strikingly resembles Marina Berlusconi.

It is about the very figure of the winged Victory, which has previously caused a storm of controversy. At that time, it was allegedly seen as the features of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, which was followed by a hasty “correction” of the image. The story quickly spread across the Italian media and social networks, becoming a symbol of artistic and political interpretations.

However, a new visit to the church has turned things around again, writes Finestresull’Arte. Fabrizio Federici, an art historian and author of the satirical project Mo(n)stre, said that the angel now looks different – and in its features, according to his observations, he guesses Marina Berlusconi, Silvio Berlusconi’s daughter.

The photos immediately went viral on social media, sparking a new wave of discussions and memes. Users argue who the angel now “looks like”: Marina Berlusconi, Alessandra Mussolini, singer Elodie or even Daniela Zuccoli.

And while experts insist that it is only a matter of light and subjective perception, the Internet has already turned the church fresco into a new Italian sensation – where every new look gives birth to a new “double”.
