Maia Sandu makes a working visit to Tallinn

The head of state is traveling to Tallinn at the invitation of President of the Republic of Estonia Alar Karis.

The visit is aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries with a focus on regional security issues. The sides will also discuss issues related to Moldova’s accession to the European Union.

The agenda of the visit includes meetings between Maia Sandu and her Estonian counterpart Alar Karis, as well as Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Mihal, Parliament Speaker Lauri Hussar, Foreign Minister Margus Cahkna and the chairman of the parliamentary commission for foreign affairs, Marko Mihkelson.

The Moldovan president will participate in the “Lennart Meri” conference, an annual event on foreign policy and security issues held in Tallinn.
