During the meeting, the participants reviewed the main results of their cooperation, paying particular attention to the implementation of the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova for 2025–2028. The parties emphasized the contribution of this instrument to advancing democratic reforms and achieving the goals set for our country in the process of accession to the European Union.
“The Council of Europe is an important partner for the Republic of Moldova. The reforms we are carrying out together directly contribute to strengthening democratic institutions and advancing our European path. We continue to count on the Council of Europe’s expertise and support in achieving our goals,” said Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi.
The parties also discussed cooperation in the areas of the rule of law, the protection of human rights, and the strengthening of democratic institutions, as well as the prospects for the Republic of Moldova’s transition to the post-monitoring phase within the framework of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Natalia Vutova confirmed the readiness of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau to continue supporting the authorities in implementing reforms and the Action Plan.
