
Corina Kalugaru
A career diplomat, Corina Călugăru has more than 20 years of experience in the Moldovan diplomatic service, working both in the ministry’s central office and in bilateral and multilateral diplomatic missions, the ministry said in a statement
She has held the posts of Moldova’s ambassador to the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco, permanent representative to UNESCO, personal representative of the Moldovan president to the International Organization of La Francophonie, as well as ambassador and permanent representative of Moldova to the Council of Europe.
Within her mandate at UNESCO, the Republic of Moldova was elected for the first time as a member of the Executive Board of UNESCO for the period 2025-2029.
Corina Calugăru holds a degree in Law and Economics from the State University of Moldova, a Master’s degree in Law, and has studied security and European politics at Bucharest State University and the Geneva Center for Security Policy.
