Verification of cadastral valuation of houses in villages extended for 90 days

This solution gives property owners in rural areas who have not yet had time to check updated cadastral data the necessary time to access it.

This was announced by representatives of the Agency of Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre. They presented on Thursday, April 30, 2026, the results of the first phase of the evaluation and revaluation of real estate at the national level.

During the press conference, the agency’s management detailed the results of the 90-day public consultation and announced the extension of the real estate valuation and revaluation process. This was a necessary step to adequately adjust the cadastral values of properties in line with current economic realities, the agency explained. Especially after many years during which they remained unchanged.

Record participation of citizens

The consultation process recorded record citizen participation, with more than 360,000 appeals to the government platform and 6,436 appeals filed by citizens by April 29.

“Transparency and citizen participation were essential,” said Ivan Dani, Director General of the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency. – “They allowed us to update the technical parameters of the real estate and adjust the valuation models.

Analysis of the data shows a clear preference for digital interaction. According to the information provided by Nadejda Josanu, head of the real estate valuation department of the agency, 77.4% of the requests were registered online, today the processing rate has already reached 78.3%.

Geographically, the majority of requests came from Chisinau (46,4%) and its suburbs (9,4%), followed by Balti (8,7%). More than half of the references concerned apartments (47.8%) and houses in urban areas (23.6%).

As for the nature of the requests, citizens mostly reported problems related to the technical characteristics of buildings (51.9%), or disagreed with the estimated value of real estate (45%). As explained by Nadejda Josanu, almost half of the examined complaints (49%) have already been sent to specialists to adjust the valuation models.

In order to check the accuracy of data throughout the country, the agency’s management announced the extension of the public consultation period for individual houses in rural areas for another 90 days.
