The Chisinau City Hall reports that repair and improvement work currently underway on “August 31, 1989” Street (Kaldarym district) and Veronika Mikle Street, are proceeding according to the approved schedule, gradually transforming these areas into a more accessible and attractive pedestrian zone.

On “August 31, 1989” Street (Kaldarym district), work is currently underway to create and develop a pedestrian zone, including the repair of the pavement and the installation of curbs. On Veronika Mikle Street, contractors are also carrying out renovation work, gradually transforming it into a space for walking and recreation. Currently, paving stones are being laid and pedestrian infrastructure elements are being installed.

Thanks to these measures, public spaces in the city’s historic center are being returned to residents in a new form—one that is more convenient and pleasant for leisure.

Earlier, Logos Press reported that the “Eugen Doga” Center will open in the building located at 5 Veronica Micle Street.

This building is listed in the Chisinau Municipality’s Register of Historical and Cultural Monuments. It was selected for the center’s construction by Eugen Doga himself, and the design was developed in collaboration with the artist.

The building will be renovated in phases over a period of 35 months. The timeline is dictated by the site’s historical significance.
