
The relevant draft decision includes the Regulation, which states that the compensation amount is 100% of the excise quota for 2026 – 3978.95 lei per ton (about 3.36 lei per liter). The compensation is for fuel purchased between March 1 and May 31, 2026. The maximum amount of aid per beneficiary is limited to a threshold of 200,000 lei.
The Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) will be in charge of distributing the funds.
It is noted that in the structure of production costs, fuel is crucial for almost all stages of the agricultural cycle: from soil preparation, sowing and phytosanitary treatment to harvesting and transportation.
About 3,200 agricultural producers operate in Moldova, of which 81 are large enterprises, 198 are medium-sized, 664 are small and 2,149 are micro-enterprises.
