
These two projects were implemented with government support through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).
The smart public lighting system, implemented as part of the national “Cities as Growth Hubs” program, includes approximately 100 km of modernized network infrastructure, poles, cables, lighting fixtures, control panels, distribution boards, and a remote control system. The project was funded with 36.3 million lei from the FNDRL, while the Cahul municipality contributed approximately 7 million lei.
Also, as part of the Urban Renewal Program, Kindergarten No. 4 was renovated, with investments totaling 11.6 million lei from the FNDRL, supplemented by a contribution of 1.8 million lei from the municipality. The modernization of the facility provides children and staff with better conditions for the educational process.
Currently, the stages of the municipality’s next infrastructure project are being discussed; this project involves the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Mihai Viteazul and Sanatoriu Streets, with work set to begin shortly.
