The revamped cabinet led by Vasile Tofan includes, among others, Victoria Belous, who has returned to the post of Minister of Finance. There are also some new names: Alexandru Gasnaș—Health, Radu Musteață—Agriculture, Dan Suruceanu—Culture.
Most of the remaining positions were retained by ministers from the previous government, including the deputy prime ministers for European integration (Cristina Gherasimov) and reintegration (Valeriu Chiveri), as well as key security and economic ministries.
“We have concluded discussions with each candidate. Now I have a much clearer picture of the situation in each area: where there are strong teams and projects, where we need to accelerate our work, where there are bottlenecks, and where adjustments are needed,” Vasile Tofan stated following the discussions.
“This will be followed by decisions regarding the team and consultations with political parties and representatives from various regions to finalize the government’s program. I want the government to focus on a few clear priorities, use public funds responsibly, and be evaluated based on results. I am confident that together we will be able to meet the people’s expectations,” the prime ministerial candidate said.
