Today, August 26, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the concept of the information system e-Notar, which involves digitalization of a number of processes in the activities of notaries.
The new information system will make it possible to authenticate, sign and process notarial documents online using modern security and encryption technologies, electronic signature and direct connection to state registers.
The system will also be integrated into the state MCloud infrastructure. This will optimize and simplify the work of notaries, who will no longer have to collect documents on paper but receive them online from state information systems.
In addition, the digitalization of notarial activities will make it possible to sign and certify documents electronically, providing citizens and businesses with faster and safer access to qualified notary services.
The digitalization of notary services will save citizens from queues at cash desks, as well as additional transportation costs, which is an advantage, especially for Moldovans abroad.
It is noted that electronic notary will facilitate the activity of entrepreneurs and attract investments by eliminating bureaucratic and administrative barriers, quick access to necessary data and the possibility of online registration for notary services.
The e-Notar system will be implemented and tested with funds provided by the EBRD (EUR 450 thousand). Administrative costs will be covered by annual allocations to the Agency for Digitalization in Justice and Court Administration.
