The decision was made after reviewing a request submitted by Energocom and verifying the calculations and supporting documents provided by the supplier.

The adjustment is primarily due to a significant increase in the cost of purchasing natural gas and changes in the terms of supply for the remainder of the year.

Based on the results of its analysis, ANRE set the average supply price at 18,530 lei/1,000 m³. Thus, the approved price is 580 lei/1,000 m³ lower than the price requested by the supplier and 6,870 lei/1,000 m³ higher than the current average price.

To be precise, the new rate will be 5.88 lei, or 41%, higher than the current rate, which is 14.42 lei per cubic meter.

The new rate takes effect on September 1. The price of natural gas will be 20.30 lei per m³.
