The event is being organized by the National Association of Beekeepers of Moldova and the Association of Exporters of Bee Products of Moldova, with support from the Investment Agency and municipal authorities.
As ANARM Executive Director Ion Maxim noted in a comment to Logos Press, several dozen Moldovan beekeepers have already expressed their desire to showcase products from the 2026 honey harvest at the fair. In addition to sales, the fair will feature an informational component at the booths of the associations organizing the event.
According to their plan, this exhibition-fair will differ from the now-traditional “weekend” fairs held in the capital’s “suburban areas.” First, it is a specialized event timed to coincide with a holiday—“Beekeeper’s Day.” Second, it will take place in the very center of the city, meaning it is designed to take advantage of the surrounding atmosphere and high foot traffic. Third, it is the first fair at the start of the sales season for fresh honey (the 2026 harvest) featuring a wide assortment of products. In other words, it is the first representative practical study of the domestic honey market: testing and adjusting “demand prices” and “supply prices,” the activity of sellers and buyers, product quality, and so on.
