This year, the government allocated 9,013 state-funded spots for higher education. Of these, 5,380 spots are reserved for bachelor’s and integrated degree programs, and 2,771 for master’s programs.
After the first stage, more than 18,000 people had already been admitted to the country’s universities. A total of 6,444 students were admitted to state-funded spots: 4,247 to bachelor’s programs and 2,197 to master’s programs. Thus, of the total 9,013 state-funded spots, about 80% have already been filled, with more than 2,500 spots still available.
Which fields of study are still available?
Remaining state-funded spots are available, in particular, in the fields of education, engineering, agriculture, natural sciences, architecture and construction, as well as security services.
For applicants considering a career in education, spots remain available in education programs at several universities across the country. These include the following institutions:
Ion Creangă State Pedagogical University;
The State University of Moldova (USM);
Alecu Russo State University in Bălți;
“Bogdan Petricică Hașdeu” University Center in Cahul;
Comrat State University.
Another option is dual higher education, which allows students to combine their studies with practical training at a company or institution. During the supplementary enrollment period, state-funded spots are available for dual-track programs at the Technical University of Moldova (UTM)—in the fields of engineering and engineering activities, as well as architecture and construction.
It is important to note that starting September 1, student scholarships in Moldova will increase by at least 40%: the minimum will be 1,490 lei, and the maximum will be 4,565 lei
Schedule for the supplementary exam session
August 15–17 — online application submission;
August 18–19 — document review and confirmation;
August 21 — publication of preliminary results;
August 21–22 — submission of original documents;
August 24 — publication of final results.
Please note that a state registration fee must be paid to submit your application. Exempt from this fee are, in particular, applicants to the “Alexandru cel Bun” Military Academy or the “Ștefan cel Mare” Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as individuals without parental care, candidates with severe or significant disabilities, and members of the Romani ethnic group—provided they submit supporting documentation.
