A quarry will be built to reinforce the Dniester River levees

The village administration of Telitsa in the Anenii Noi district has announced a new tender for the development of a technical design for the opening and operation of a quarry to extract clay. The clay is intended for use in the construction and restoration of protective embankments along the Dniester River. The previous tender, announced on August 3, did not take place.

Flooding on the Dniester River

The cost of design services is estimated at 250,000 lei.

The project involves the development of a 3-hectare site in the Telica commune. The contractor will be required to conduct topographic and geotechnical surveys, determine the volume of clay material suitable for extraction, develop an extraction methodology and a plan for access roads, as well as measures for environmental protection and workplace safety. Once extraction is complete, the site must be reclaimed.

Companies with experience in the field of engineering design are invited to participate in the tender. Requirements include having qualified specialists and relevant certifications, experience in performing similar work, recommendations from at least three clients, and proof of completion of at least one comparable project within the last three years. Bids must be submitted electronically via SIA RSAP by August 24, 2026.

In June 2020, Telitsa experienced severe flooding: the Dniester River rose by 3 meters, water overflowed the dam, and flooded homes, farmland, roads, and the stadium. Flooding occurs periodically in this area.
