“Every year, we submit applications for 400–600 teachers to the Ministry of Education. Typically, between 100 and 150 graduates are selected, and the saddest part is that by the end of the school year, only about 70–80 of those referred remain in the system,” Pavaloi said.
According to the Ministry of Education, there are currently about 1,365 open teaching positions across Moldova. However, the actual need is higher, as many teachers are working under heavy workloads.
