According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the number of students enrolled in dual education has also increased. There are now 3,340 students enrolled in this system – 923 more (+38.2%) than the previous year and almost twice as many – 1,640 more (+96.5%) than in the 2023-2024 school year.

“Dual education is a strategic priority of the Ministry of Education and Research due to the effectiveness of this educational model in adapting the competencies of young professionals to the requirements of the labor market. The employment rate of graduates in recent years is around 60%,” the ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry organized on Thursday, April 16, 2026, a seminar on “Quality Assurance in Dual Education”, which was held at the Centre of Excellence in Transport. It is one of the educational institutions participating in the system.

The event gathered about 160 master instructors and representatives of vocational education institutions. They are responsible for coordinating and monitoring dual training within the 45 institutions of the country implementing this educational model.

The seminar discussed the legislative framework, ways to improve the quality of training and the level of cooperation with companies, as well as measures to increase the visibility and attractiveness of dual education among young people and businesses.

We would like to remind you that the state compensates costs of the company for the training of a master who works with students, and a monthly remuneration in the amount of the minimum wage in the country, which is paid to the trainees by the employer. In 2025, out of 15 million lei approved in the law on the state budget, about 11.74 million lei were compensated for 80 economic entities.
