The initiative aims to encourage not only academic achievement but also young people’s involvement in scientific, social and voluntary activities, as well as trade union work.

In the 2026–2027 academic year, seven scholarships will be awarded to students and pupils from six educational institutions.

The monthly financial support amounts to:

  • ‘Nicolae Testemițanu’ State University of Medicine and Pharmacy – two scholarships of 2,000 lei each;
  • the “Raisa Pacalo” Centre of Excellence in Medicine and Pharmacy, and the medical colleges in Bălți, Orhei, Cahul and Ungheni – one scholarship worth 1,000 lei for each institution.

The scholarships will be awarded over a ten-month period during the academic year, funded by the ‘Sănătatea’ Trade Union Federation of Moldova.

Who is eligible for a scholarship?

The competition is open to students and pupils from the second year of study onwards who are members of primary trade union organisations affiliated to the Federation. A mandatory requirement is an annual average mark of at least 8.00, as well as active involvement in scientific, social, voluntary and extracurricular activities.

When assessing candidates, consideration will be given to academic performance, scientific publications and projects, social and voluntary work, awards and honours received, as well as the recommendations submitted.

The selection process takes place within educational institutions, through selection committees which include representatives of the Federation. The selection of beneficiaries will be carried out in accordance with the principles of transparency, objectivity, equal opportunities and meritocracy.
