The Philippines is the leader of the ranking
According to the World’s 50 Best Beaches 2026, Entalula Beach in the Philippines, located in the province of Palawan, took first place. Experts noted it as “an almost untouched corner of nature” with white sand, crystal clear water and impressive limestone cliffs.
The top three also included: Fteri Beach (Greece) – 2nd place and Wharton Beach (Australia) – 3rd place.
As the organizers of the rating note, it is the combination of natural preservation, low attendance and stable weather conditions that allowed the beach to top the list.
By the way, the Australian beach was noted for its remote location, purest white sand and the feeling of complete isolation from mass tourism.
Geography of the rating
According to the organizers, the 2026 list emphasizes global diversity: it includes beaches from Europe, Asia, Oceania, America and Africa. The list also highlights the growing popularity of “wild” and inaccessible locations such as national parks, islands and nature reserves.
It is also reported that some countries have become notable leaders of the ranking in terms of the number of beaches, including Greece, Australia and Thailand.
The main trend of this year is the shift of travelers’ interest towards low-traffic beaches with untouched nature. Organizers emphasize that in 2026 special attention was paid to natural uniqueness, level of privacy, lack of mass development, “natural atmosphere” of the coast.
