He noted that this is the first case of participation of the President of Azerbaijan in the event held in Armenia, though in online format.
“I hope that in 2028 I will have an opportunity to visit Azerbaijan to participate in the X summit of the European Political Community. By the way, Armenia and Azerbaijan have mutually supported each other’s candidacies for the European Political Community summits,” Pashinyan said.
Recall that Moldovan President Maia Sandu, who arrived in Yerevan on the same plane with Romanian President Nicusor Dan, is taking part in the summit.
Earlier, the press service of the head of state announced that during the event, the president will hold a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings dedicated to the promotion of Moldova’s accession to the European Union and the strengthening of security partnerships. She will also hold, together with French President Emmanuel Macron, a session dedicated to the sustainability of democracy in the face of hybrid threats, one of the key topics on the European agenda in the current security environment. In addition, the head of state will take part in a meeting of the European Coalition against Drugs.

Maya Sandu and Nikol Pashinyan
Maya Sandu posted a photo with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the X network (formerly Twitter), accompanying it with a short text:
“At the European Political Community summit in Yerevan: promoting Moldova’s position in Europe, strengthening security cooperation and joining forces to fight drug trafficking across Europe.”
