As a reminder, on Monday, oil prices on the American Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange fell by 7.4% in a single day following statements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding an emerging agreement to cease hostilities in the Persian Gulf.
The Moldovan market reacted, and fuel prices began to fall.
Today, the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) published new maximum prices for gasoline and diesel fuel, which will take effect tomorrow, August 7.
The maximum price for AI-95 gasoline will be 30 lei and 26 bani (22 bani cheaper than today) per liter, and for diesel fuel—32.49 lei (17 bani cheaper) per liter.
This is, of course, not 7.4%, but progress is noticeable: diesel prices have been falling for the second day in a row, and gasoline prices for the third.
