“DOR – Diaspora Origini Reveniri” is organized under the patronage of the Moldovan Government through the Bureau for Diaspora Relations. The aim of the event is to create an emotional connection between the participants and Moldova, to promote and preserve national traditions and values.
This is reported by the Bureau for Diaspora Relations. The DOR program, launched in 2013, is the first and the only governmental program aimed at introducing the young generation of the Diaspora to Moldova. To date, more than 1,100 children have already participated in it.
Like last year, the program will be held in two phases (from August 4 to 12 and from August 14 to 22). 120 people will be able to participate in each.
They will get to know Moldova and improve their communication skills in Romanian language by participating in cultural, educational and sports activities organized within the camps.
The costs of participation in the DOR program are covered from the state budget, participants pay only for transportation to/from Moldova.
At the same time, they must meet a number of criteria. First of all, they must be between 12 and 17 years of age, as well as be able or at least understand how to communicate in Romanian. Preference will be given to candidates who have not participated in the program before, on a first-come-first-served basis.
To register, diaspora candidates must fill out the registration form and send a video in MP4 format (max. 1 minute) in Romanian to [email protected] with the subject: “Why do I want to participate in the DOR Program?”.
Candidates from Moldova can register by filling in the form and then send an e-mail to the address above on the topic “Values that unite us wherever we are”.
