In a statement on its website, the agency notes the “special global significance” of Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22. This event “mobilizes millions of people for actions dedicated to environmental protection – it is one of the largest civil movements in the world aimed at promoting environmental responsibility”.

Through government support mechanisms for the rural infrastructure economy, AIPA has directed significant financial resources toward measures that promote water efficiency, soil protection, and organic farming.

In 2025, subsidies amounting to 183 million lei were paid to support sustainable agriculture in Moldova for the following financial support measures:

  • investments in irrigation systems and equipment – 53.07 million lei for 112 beneficiaries;
  • investments in watersheds for irrigation – 5.5 million lei, for 17 beneficiaries;
  • development of organic farming – 23.75 million lei, for 64 beneficiaries;
  • investments in tillage technologies – 100,9 million lei, for 467 beneficiaries.
