Moldovan consumers will be able to file complaints about defective products online

Consumers, retailers, and relevant government agencies will be able to interact within a single digital space. The National Food Safety Agency has announced the launch of the “Consumer Protection” module on the eDemocrație government platform.

“If you have an electronic signature, log in to edemocrație.gov.md, and your information will be filled in automatically,” advises the guide on the ANSA website. “After submitting a complaint, you can track its status on the EVO portal in your account, under ‘My Requests’ → ‘Notifications,’ and receive responses from the seller. If you do not have an electronic signature, you can file a complaint in the same way and will receive the seller’s response via email. If the issue is not resolved with the seller, you can continue the process on the same platform by submitting an individual complaint to the relevant authority or, if the issue affects multiple people, a collective complaint. An electronic signature is required for both of these options.”

The module is currently being tested in a pilot program. In the coming weeks, the agency will gather feedback from consumers, businesses, and government agencies “to improve functionality and the user experience.”
