Of the 126 Moldovan wines entered in the competition, 66—more than half, or 52.4%—received awards, according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Industry (MAIA).
The Republic of Moldova achieved the best result among the participating countries, which submitted more than 100 wines. Moldovan wines were awarded:
- 7 Grand Gold medals;
- 32 Gold medals;
- 27 Silver medals.
This year, the competition was held in Yerevan, Armenia. Approximately 7,700 wines from 51 countries were submitted for evaluation. The wines were evaluated blind by international experts, with the primary criterion being product quality—regardless of brand, label, or claimed origin.
The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has been held since 1994 and is considered one of the most important international wine competitions. Every year, thousands of samples from around the world participate in the competition and are evaluated by professional tasters.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry congratulates the winemakers, oenologists, and all participating teams on this achievement, which contributes to raising the profile of the Republic of Moldova as a producer of quality wines.
