Once the regulatory procedures have been completed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will notify the CIS Executive Committee of the decision to denounce the agreement.
The agreement was concluded in Moscow on 25 November 2005 and provides for cooperation between the CIS member states in the field of preventing and combating human trafficking, as well as the illicit trade in human organs and tissues.
Moldova acceded to this agreement in 2013. When taking the decision to accede, the government justified the move by citing the need to develop comprehensive cooperation amongst CIS countries in combating human trafficking and the illicit trade in human organs and tissues, as well as the importance of countering contemporary challenges and threats to the security of society and the state.
