Due to the attack, the border crossing on the border between Ukraine and Romania is not operating.

On the night of 1 September, a Russian air strike on the Odesa region damaged the infrastructure of the ‘Orlovka–Isakcha’ international border crossing on the Ukrainian-Romanian border. Operations at the crossing have been temporarily suspended due to the damage.

Orlovka crossing point

According to the Izmail District State Administration, the strike targeted border infrastructure in the Izmail district. The State Border Guard Service reported that the building and the territory of the border crossing point were hit. The attack caused fires, which were brought under control by emergency services.

At present, no citizens or vehicles are being processed at the ‘Orlovka’ crossing. Traffic is being diverted to other border crossing points, reports Delo.
