
The program is aimed at supporting the professional development of scientists under the age of 40 with a doctoral degree. The winners will be able to receive funding of up to 900 thousand lei for the implementation of their projects for two years.
The priority areas of the contest include public health, sustainable agriculture and food security, biotechnology and environmental protection. Research in the fields of social challenges, national security, innovative technologies, sustainable energy and digitalization is also supported.
Applications are accepted from public research organizations. Each research group must consist of at least four young scientists. The involvement of doctoral students, master’s students and specialists from the “scientific diaspora” is encouraged.
The allocated funds can be used to pay staff salaries, purchase equipment, reagents and software, as well as to cover travel expenses and publish scientific results in international peer-reviewed journals.
Proposals and comments on the draft documents will be accepted until June 18. The deadline for submission of final applications is August 28, 2026.
