Bitcoin failed to hold above $65,000

For about two weeks, the leading cryptocurrency has been trading within a range of $62,000–$65,000.

Over the past 24 hours, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) made several attempts to break above $65,000, before falling to $63,700 on Monday morning. It fell 1% over the past 24 hours and, as of 11:00 a.m. Moscow time on July 20, is hovering around $64,000, according to RBC.

After losing more than 20% of its value in May and June, the leading cryptocurrency has rebounded by about 10% since the beginning of July. Over the past two weeks, BTC has been trading in the $62,000–$65,000 range.

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization fell by 1.76% over the past 24 hours, to $2.16 trillion. Trading volume totaled $48 billion, according to CoinMarketCap. The price of Ethereum (ETH) fell by 3% during this period, to $1,850.

Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies, Pump.fun (PUMP) saw the largest daily gain—22%. Binance Life (币安人生) saw the sharpest decline among the tokens, falling by 6%. This is a meme coin from the BNB community, whose name translates to “Binance Life.”
