“Ecovillas, a well-known developer, has chosen to focus on creating boutique residential complexes and environmentally sustainable housing, and all of our strategic decisions are built around this direction,” said Vyacheslav Vlas, the company’s founder, in an exclusive interview with forbes.ro.

A new phase in the company’s development is marked by the Nouvert project, a luxury complex in Mogoșoaia consisting of 16 separate villas located on the edge of two forests. The complex embodies the concept of wellness real estate and integrates cutting-edge technologies, such as geothermal heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, and heat-recovery ventilation systems, as part of an investment exceeding 6 million euros.

“At the same time, we are analyzing other development opportunities in northern Bucharest, all guided by the same philosophy: boutique projects with low building density, eco-friendly technologies, and a high standard of construction quality. We do not seek to carry out as many projects as possible, but rather carefully select those in which we can control every stage of development and deliver a product that meets our standards. At the same time, we continue to develop our general contracting business through a group company, drawing on the experience we’ve gained in recent years while implementing complex residential projects,” said Vyacheslav Vlas.

The company’s expansion continues in the Republic of Moldova, where Ecovillas is confirming its second project following the announcement earlier this year of its market entry through Lake View Development, a complex of 94 homes in Cojușna, with an estimated investment of 22 million euros and developed in partnership with Dutch investors.

“Our strategy is aimed at strengthening a development model that we can replicate in various markets while maintaining the same principles: sustainability, energy efficiency, and the creation of communities of the future. In the Republic of Moldova, together with our partners, we are developing the LAGO Homes project—a residential complex on the shores of Lake Gidigich, near Chisinau. The project will include about 100 homes and will incorporate the same principles that define Ecovillas projects: modern architecture, energy efficiency, and state-of-the-art construction technologies. We view this expansion as a natural step in the company’s development and as an opportunity to demonstrate that the Ecovillas model can be successfully implemented in other markets. “Our goal is not to become one of the largest developers in the region, but one of the most respected for the quality of our projects and our responsible approach to residential construction,” added Vyacheslav Vlas.

Founded in 2014, Ecovillas is known for projects such as Loft Green Apartments and boutique complexes like Ecovillas Sector 5, Viilor, Otopeni, and Epique Home.
