“There are plans to organize a single competition for post-investment subsidies. A directive from the Ministry of Agriculture on this matter is likely to be issued by the end of 2026. This competition will focus on investment projects launched during the 2024–2025 period. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 71/2023 and its subsequent amendments, which took effect on January 1, 2026,” said Diana Koshalić, deputy director of the Agency for Agricultural Interventions and Payments, in an interview with agroexpert.
In addition, the regulatory framework established this year does not provide for advance or phased subsidies. Direct payments to milk producers based on applications for the second half of 2025 will continue, also as part of a single competitive selection process.
