Chisinau is getting better by the day. The renovation work underway in the capital is gradually pushing aside memories of the harsh winter and spring storms, along with their aftermath.
City officials have now turned their attention to Mășterul Manole Street, which has not undergone major repairs since it was first opened.
According to city hall, the project will be implemented in phases, starting with the restoration of sidewalks, replacement of curbs, and repair of the road surface, and extending to the improvement of green spaces and the modernization of street lighting.
As part of the project to rehabilitate Măsterul Manole Street, plans call for the repair of 30,000 m² of road surface and approximately 7,200 m² of sidewalks.
It was also announced yesterday that repairs have begun on the Council of Europe Square in the center of the capital.
This symbolic location for Chisinau is situated between Aleksei Mateevici, Constantin Stere, and Mihail Cogilnicanu Streets in the Buiucani district.
The project includes the creation of pedestrian walkways, the modernization of decorative night lighting, the installation of benches, and the landscaping of green areas around the entire perimeter of the square.
In addition, recreational areas with chess and checkers tables will be set up on the central walkway. City officials hope that this place will attract people of all ages.
