Residents in the northeastern part of the county first received an RO-Alert on Monday morning. The Ministry of Defense reported that a drone briefly entered Romanian airspace, and two F-16 fighter jets were scrambled. However, the drone, without waiting for them, crossed the border into Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Defense, around 4:00 PM in the afternoon, the MApN radar surveillance system detected a group of aerial targets near the river border with Ukraine, gandul.ro reports.
The second alert lasted from 4:00 PM to 4:46 PM. No violations of Romanian airspace or debris falls were recorded.
