
According to the National Health Insurance Fund (NCM), the largest portion of revenue comes from health insurance premiums, which are calculated as a percentage of salary. These premiums exceeded 5 billion lei, which is 444 million more than during the same period last year.
Mandatory fixed-amount insurance premiums totaled approximately 433 million lei. This is 104 million more than in the first six months of last year.
Other revenues to the health insurance funds, including contributions paid by residents of information technology parks, totaled about 171 million lei, which is 28 million more than the amount recorded for the same period last year.
At the same time, expenditures totaling more than 9.2 million lei were made from January through June. The lion’s share of these funds was transferred to contractors providing medical and pharmaceutical services.
The amount paid for medical services, medications, and medical devices provided during the first six months of the year is approximately 850 million lei higher than during the same period last year.
