Moldova's Tax Service reports 11.4% revenue growth in first half of 2026

The State Tax Service was the first to report its results for the first half of 2026.

In the first six months of 2026, tax revenues administered by the State Tax Service (STS) increased by 11.4%.

According to the agency’s preliminary data, state budget revenues administered by the National Tax Service amounted to approximately 43.8 billion lei in the first six months of 2026. This represents an increase of approximately 4.5 billion lei, or 11.4%, compared to the same period of the previous year.

Specifically, the state budget received approximately 18.3 billion lei in the first six months of 2026, which is 2.1 billion lei more than in the same period of 2025, or a 12.8% increase.

Approximately 5.0 billion lei were allocated to local budgets, which is 525.3 million lei more than in the same period of 2025, or an increase of 11.8%.

In addition, the state social insurance budget received approximately 15.3 billion lei during the specified period, which is 1.4 billion lei more than during the same period of the previous year. This represented an increase of approximately 10.0%.

At the same time, the Compulsory Health Insurance Funds accumulated approximately 5.2 billion lei, which is 476.7 million lei more than in the same period of 2025, or 10.2%.
