The agency announced the establishment of a monthly forum for engagement with the leadership of judicial institutions to discuss issues related to the functioning of the justice system and to coordinate further reform steps.
Participants in the platform include leadership from the Ministry of Justice, the Superior Council of Magistracy, the Supreme Court of Justice, appellate courts, the Chisinau Court, and the Agency for the Digitalization of Justice and Judicial Administration.
According to the organizers’ vision, the new platform is intended to facilitate direct communication between the relevant bodies, improve the coordination of decisions, and accelerate responses to systemic issues.
“The interests of citizens remain the primary focus of this dialogue. The justice system is already undergoing changes, and this direction must be consistently pursued: closer to the people, more accessible, more understandable, more effective, and fairer,” stated Minister of Justice Vladislav Kozhukhar.
According to the minister, citizens need more accessible services, simple procedures, reasonable case processing times, and equal application of the law.
Key Priorities
During the first meeting, participants presented priorities for the coming period and identified areas requiring joint solutions.
The discussion touched on issues related to European integration, staffing of the system, the digitization of judicial services, reform of the judicial map, modernization of court infrastructure, as well as physical and cybersecurity issues.
Special attention was given to continuing the digitization of the judicial system and improving the efficiency of administrative processes.
For Moldova, the efficiency of the judicial system remains one of the key factors in public trust, investment attractiveness, and progress in negotiations for accession to the European Union.
The ministry stated that it intends to continue this format of work and provide institutional support where infrastructure modernization, the development of digital solutions, and the improvement of the efficiency of judicial bodies are needed.
