The concept for the “Health Surveillance of Workers Exposed to Occupational Risks” (SI-SSLERP) information system was developed by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the National Public Health Agency.
As noted in the explanatory notes to the draft, employers, healthcare facilities, and public health authorities currently store this information separately and often on paper. Furthermore, the information systems currently in use are not interconnected.
The new system will establish a unified procedure for collecting, updating, and transmitting data, as well as for monitoring workers’ health, taking risk factors into account.
At the same time, reporting, information exchange, and interaction with other government information resources will be simplified. Communication will take place through the “Electronic Medical Record” system and the MConnect platform.
Employers will be involved in collecting information, but no new obligations are planned for them. On the contrary, the tool will simplify the tracking of at-risk employees for them and reduce the volume of reporting.
Funding for the creation and operation of the new system will come from funds allocated annually to the Ministry of Health, as well as from other sources. The plan is to implement it in phases. One year after the decision to launch the system takes effect, regulations governing its operation will be approved, and training will be organized for those involved.
