The project’s budget was formed from two sources: more than 2.8 million lei was allocated from the development and modernization fund of the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM), while another 2.2 million lei was the health institution’s own contribution.

The works included major renovation of the internal premises, replacement of finishing materials, as well as complete modernization of all engineering networks and sanitary systems.

During the monitoring visit, CNAM representatives stated that all the works under the contract were successfully completed, in strict compliance with the technical specifications and acceptance certificates. As a result of the inspections, no violations were found in the project implementation.

The modernization of the department will increase the efficiency of treatment and provide the necessary comfort to children suffering from acute and chronic bronchopulmonary pathologies.

Currently, the pulmonology department has 27 beds and serves about 50 children daily. Every year, up to 1,400 patients aged from one month to 18 years receive medical care here, and the department’s medical staff consists of 22 employees.
