Government meeting at Camp David
According to the White House, the meeting of US President Donald Trump with members of the Cabinet will be held not in Washington, but in the presidential residence Camp David.
All key administration officials, including agency heads, are expected to attend the meeting.
This will be the 12th cabinet meeting since Trump’s election in January 2025.
The main topic is the situation around Iran
The main issue on the agenda will be the aggravation of the situation around Iran and the negotiation process, which, according to the U.S. side, could move closer to a potential agreement to end the conflict.
At the same time, the reports note that tensions between the countries remain high, and the discussion is taking place against the backdrop of recent US strikes on targets in southern Iran.
Participants and agenda of the meeting
The president is expected to be joined by all cabinet members, including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
A White House official said that in addition to the Iran track, the meeting is also scheduled to discuss the administration’s current performance and other key domestic and foreign policy issues.
