Speaking during her visit to Chisinau, Gelbihova said the main purpose of her trip was to raise awareness of the funding opportunities available to Moldovan students, researchers and organizations through the International Visegrad Fund.

“We don’t have enough scholarship and grant recipients from Moldova. That is why I am here – to spread more information about the grant opportunities offered by the International Visegrad Fund,” she said.

Gelbihova noted that Moldova made a strong positive impression on her, despite the fact that she came without any specific expectations.

“People are wonderful and very responsive. Everyone wants to cooperate,” she stated.

She also praised Moldova’s public administration, calling the country “very young and dynamic,” and emphasized the hospitality she received during her visit.
